New Castle County - Join DART for a Community Conversation

New Castle County -- Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) is hosting three "Community Conversations" for you to share your feedback and experiences about DART's bus service and offer suggestions on future changes to New Castle County routes 10, 15, 33, and 51.

The following Community Conversations will be held:

Wednesday, April 22 from 4 to 6 PM

Route 9 Library (Multipurpose Room A), 3022 New Castle Avenue, New Castle, DE 19720

Thursday, April 23 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM

DART Administration Building (Brandywine Room), 119 Lower Beech Street, Wilmington, DE 19805

Wednesday, May 6 from 4:30 to 6 PM

Statewide - In Celebration of Earth Day, DART is Offering Free Rides for "Try Transit" Day

State Wide -- DART announces a "Try Transit" Day in celebration of Earth Day, for the public to ride any of DART bus services statewide for free, including Paratransit on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. This day will not only be an opportunity to raise awareness for the planet's environmental challenges, but also to highlight the many benefits of using public transportation.

Statewide - DART To Host Open House Hiring Event

statewide -- Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) is hosting an Open House Hiring Event on Saturday, March 21, from 9 AM to 1 PM at DART's Beech Street Facility, 119 Lower Beech Street Wilmington DE, 19805. DTC will hold on-site testing, interviews and extend job offers specifically for Paratransit Specialists and Maintenance Personnel.

This community event gives interested individuals an opportunity to meet DART employees and complete pre-employment testing (9:30 AM and 11:30 AM), with interviews to follow for qualifying applicants. [More]

Statewide - Delaware Transit Corporation Secures Federal Grant for Major Fleet Rehabilitation

Statewide -- The Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) has been awarded a federal grant through the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) FY2026 Bus and Bus Facilities Program for $14.3 million. This funding will launch a midlife rehabilitation program for 51 buses, representing 23% of DART's fixed-route fleet.

By overhauling existing vehicles rather than purchasing new ones, DTC is implementing a high-return investment strategy to maintain a "State of Good Repair" while navigating the rising costs of new equipment. [More]
